The
District 5 Neighborhood
Recovery Committee has
prepared a plan to
assist in the recovery
of our community.
The Steering Committee
that is leading the
organizing of the groups
is made up of current
and past presidents of
LCIA and the Presidents
or their representatives
from Lake Vista,
Lakeshore, Lakewood,
Country Club Estates,
Parkview and City Park
neighborhoods. The
committee has
established additional
action oriented
committees and
responsibilities that
will utilize the input
and work of many
volunteers to meet the
challenges of rebuilding
our community. We truly
will have "one voice"
for our neighborhood
recovery.

The New Orleans District 5
Neighborhood Recovery Group has
established a fund to receive
deposits at The Greater New Orleans
Foundation. This fund will raise
and allocate money received in it's
entirety to assist with the
rebuilding of our neighborhood.
Distributions from this fund will
assist with ongoing efforts such as
restoring playgrounds, library
services, fire department service,
crime prevention, community
engagement, and green space
recovery. Distributions from the
fund will be allocated and
distributed by the civic
associations in District
5. Contributions to the fund are tax
deductible. We appreciate your
