Green Spaces Restoration and Preservation

Mission:  Coordinate the ongoing effort to restore public green spaces and develop a neighborhood-based maintenance plan; seek new sources of funding.

Committee Projects:

• Develop a neighborhood-based volunteer program to maintain the areas that have been planted. Monitor the effectiveness of this program.
• Develop new sources of funding for maintenance of green spaces.
• Oversee the landscaping that will be done as part of the Harrison Avenue Streetscape improvements in late 2010.
• Report and Provide Recommendations to the LCIA Board as appropriate and report to the general membership at bi-monthly meetings
