Here’s How to Participate
Stop by your neighborhood library and sign-up beginning Saturday May 30th
and you will receive a reading log,
bookmark, and a list of summer programs to attend. You can also sign-up
on-line by logging onto
www.neworleanspubliclibrary.org
Kick-Off Party on May 30th 11am-1pm at Latter Library includes
performers, crafts, sno-balls and book giveaway
Read 8 books or 800 pages over the course of the summer to complete the
program
Do the required reading and you’ll join us for a party in your honor on
August 1st. You also receive a Summer
Reading Program Certificate, coupons for a free Wendy’s Frosty, a Pizza Hut
personal pan pizza and free
admission to Special Summer Reading days at the Audubon Zoo (while supplies
last).

Tues June 23rd 1:00 pm ZOO mobile - brings the wonders of the natural
world to you
by interactive presentations and hands on animal encounters
Thurs June 25th 11:00 am AquaVan - Dive into the world of sea
creatures and explore
some of the habitats and animals inhabiting the world's seas.
Get up close to find out how they move, eat and keep from
getting eaten!
Fri July 10th 11:00 am Wetland Express - offers students an up-close
experience with
our Louisiana wetland animals
Wed July 22nd 11:00 am Longue Vue - Longue Vue Gardens- Lady Bug art
Wed July 29th 11:00 am Irwin Royes - The World’s Smallest Magician
will mystify
your eyes and tickle your funny bone.
Regular story time at Lakeview Fridays 10:30 am
