LCIA’s “NORA Property
Committee” works closely with the
New Orleans Redevelopment Authority
(NORA) to effectively handle the use and
disposition of hurricane Katrina damaged
properties sold by property owners
through Louisiana’s Road Home program.
The following programs are available to
those interested in purchasing property
in Lakeview:
LOT NEXT DOOR (Phase 1) --
The New Orleans City Council created the
Lot Next Door program, allowing
residents adjacent to hurricane Katrina
damaged property that was sold to the
Road Home Corp to purchase that property
at appraised value.
STATUS:
Lot Next Door program is still currently
OPEN

PHASE 2 Program –Phase 2
allowed any interested buyers who may
not be eligible under the City’s Lot
Next Door program to purchase Road Home
property in Lakeview at appraised value.
Properties with multiple interest were
sold to the highest bidder. Over 120
properties were sold through Phase 2.
STATUS:
Phase 2 is CLOSED and COMPLETED as
of September 20, 2009

Phase 3 has NOT begun, but is
